Being overweight and unhealthy can be a major factor in being depressed, but equally being in a poor state of mind can cause you to spiral out of shape.

So here are the key steps -
- Wake up and be grateful for what you have. Like Adam even start a gratitude journal, where you write down each day what you were thankful for.
- Get moving. You don't need to spend hours in the gym, even a walk is great for your state of mind
- Look after your gut health. Your stomach creates hormornes which control your mood. We are not talking chocolate either! Foods with good fats like fish and nuts as well as foods with pro-biotics like yoghurt are great for gut health
- Have a beer with your mates. Socialising with the lads over a couple of brews has been proven by Finnish research to have a overall positive effect on men's health. It relieves stress which puts massive strain on your body and also helps us release serotonin - the happy hormone.
